Some Recent Requests

1) I am unable to play dvds or cds on my macbook. The CDs go in to the drive fine but this is followed by a strange noise. The disks are not recognised in anyway. My isight camera is also not working. I would be looking to fix both these problems if possible. I hope you can help

2) The problem is i get the grey screen with pinwheel and it doesn’t load the os beyond that. It wont start in safe mode and i tried the fsck and get the message (invalid index key 4, 7985) i tried to run disk warrior from the cd but it wont load beyond grey pinwheel. would like to know if its repairable or not thanks

4) I have three computers, printer, etc that are all networked – or they were! Since the weekend my laptop started receiving an error message when trying to connect using Connect To Server:  The text entered does not appear to be a recognized URL format. URLs should begin with afp://, at://, file://, http://, https://, nfs://, smb://. cifs://, or vnc://.
I haven’t changed the Server Address and it does in fact start with afp://. There was a temporary problem over the weekend with the broadband but it is fine now, I don’t know if this could have caused the issue. The other two computers are still able to connect to each other and to the problem machine – just not the other way. I’ve looked up fixes on the net and none of the suggestions have worked. I would really appreciate if you could contact me in regards to helping fix this error. I would need someone to come to me. Please let me know pricing also.

5) My mac has recently died on me…I used the hardware test disc that came with my mac and it says there are no issues with my hardware? I am interested in a data retrieval (if possible) and seeing if she can be restored to use?
Can you give me some idea of cost for retrieval service?
